This wonderful, special, bright shining light was an exceptional part of Washington, D.C . To say Donnie McKethan was a valuable asset to the community is an absolute understatement. Realizing his beloved voice has been silenced is heart breaking. Hearing the magnificent music of Frank Sinatra at 4pm every Sunday was the highlight of my day. Donnie’s love for Sinatra mirrored my admiration. I looked forward to Mr. Mckethan’s commentary and historical facts about music. He loved his craft and I loved him. Donnie did his job well. He was at the top of his game at 86 years of age. The LORD granted him a life of longevity. I hope WPFW continues the SUNDAY SINATRA segment in tribute to Donnie’. ‘You will definitely be missed’ Thanks to his lovely family for sharing him with us! Rest, Rest, Rest well, Brenda L. Grayton

A consummate radio host and a true gentleman. His absence is sorely felt.

Such sadness to hear that Donnie has passed away. Sunday at 2 to 4 PM were my best radio time. Good afternoon, Mr. McKethan would say and it really were. May his Memories be a blessing…. Inger Brøndt
