Bereavement and Homegoing

George Paul was born to the late Mary Moore and Calvin Paul on April 17, 1945, in Valdosta, Georgia. He departed this life on September 28, 2023, at Delaware Hospice Center after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. He had two older brothers, Calvin Paul and Horace Paul.

George was an incredibly hard-working man, having been enlisted in the Army for twelve years with an honorable discharge in 1974. He later worked at Stockley Center in Georgetown, Delaware.

George was married to Annie Thomas and from this union they had two children, Arthur and Catina. The family relocated to Delaware to find new opportunities for the family. Their strong relationship lasted for over 40 years. Annie Thomas passed away on August 26, 2022, and one can only hope that they are reunited at long last.

George enjoyed fishing, experimenting in the kitchen with recipes, and watching Matlock and Westerns. He could often be found doing lawn care, fixing a car, or relaxing in his recliner while watching TV.

George is survived by his four grandchildren, Zenovia Thomas, Shakia Register, Iyanna Register and Alonzo Register all of Felton DE; great-granddaughter, Skylar; four sisters-in-law, Minnie Griffith of Lithonia, GA, Patricia McNeese (Fredie) of Milner, GA, Anita Woodard of Concord, NC and Priscilla Hamilton (James) of Stockbridge, GA; three brothers-in-law, Melvin Thomas (Shelia) of Austell, GA, Alonzo Thomas of Valdosta, GA and Abel Thomas (Erica) of Virginia Beach, VA.
