Obituary For Clayton Quinn Brown
It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a beloved husband, father, friend, and pillar of our community, Clayton Quinn Brown. On March 24, 2024 surrounded by his loving family, Clayton peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love.
Born in Cincinnati on September 3, 1972, Clayton was a beacon of positivity from the very beginning. He was the second son of Dr. Ralph P. and the late Iva M. Brown. His older brother Tyler passed away at birth. Clayton was born into Zion Baptist Church and was educated at Mercy Montessori followed by St. Xavier High School and graduated from Wittenberg University in 1995 with a B.A. in Business Education. He possessed an innate ability to connect with others, his genuine attitude and warm demeanor instantly putting people at ease. Throughout his life, he unknowingly touched countless hearts with his generosity and empathy.
Clayton lived a life filled with purpose and dedication. A devoted husband to Nickiya Palmer, who he met on the job at Rexel and married July 20, 2012. Their partnership was a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment.
As a father, Clayton was a source of unwavering support and guidance to his children, Aaliyah and step children Aijaye and Ayinde. He was loving known as Pop Pop to his only grandson, Azreal. He imparted invaluable wisdom, instilled strong values, and encouraged them to pursue their dreams with passion and determination. His love knew no bounds, and his children will forever cherish the memories they shared.
In the community, Clayton was a cherished figure, admired by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His selflessness knew no bounds; he volunteered tirelessly to the Care Portal through New Era Church, where he was also a loyal steward to the children’s ministry, parking ministry and men’s council. He actively participated in several organizations like Boys Club and youth mentorship.
Clayton spent over 25 years working in Post Sales at General Electric Supply, now Rexel. He built lifelong special bonds with everyone he touched. He was overwhelmed with the love and support his co-workers, friends, family and employers showed throughout his illness.
Fond memories will remain in the hearts of his Nickiya (wife), Aaliyah (daughter), Dr. Ralph P. Brown (father), Geraldine Shaw (Godmother), Aijaye (Stepson), Ayinde (Stepdaughter), Azreal (grandson), Alese James (mother in love), Tony & Anita Palmer (Father and mother in love) and a host of relatives and friends.
My Clayton, my star, my everything has walked with God to his heavenly home. we can’t be upset. God gave us a wonderful man!
