Dr. Judith Haughton-Williams
Dr. Judith Haughton-Williams is a seasoned educational leader with extensive expertise in research, mentorship, and educational administration. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Specialized Learning from Bowie State University, an Educational Administration Certification from McDaniel College, a Master of Science in Education, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in vocal music from Long Island University.
She began her educational career in 1991 in the New York City Public School System, later relocating to Maryland in 1998 to join the Prince George’s County Public School System. Her leadership career began as an Assistant Principal in 2006, subsequently being promoted to the role as a Principal in the Bladensburg community in 2010. On July 1, 2024, she transitioned her new role to serve as an Instructional Director of Elementary Schools in Prince George’s County Public School System. She has served in many other capacities such as a Talented and Gifted Program Coordinator, School Improvement Liaison, Data Coach, Instructional Leader and Mentor, guiding new principals and leading professional development initiatives to enhance data-driven instruction and educational strategies.
Dr. Haughton-Williams is a recognized figure in educational circles, having been a G-3 Grant School Leader, a Response to Intervention District Policy Writer and Implementer, and a nominee for Assistant Principal of the Year. Her professional memberships include the National Association for Elementary School Principals, where she now actively seeks to obtain her national certification as a National Elementary School mentor and coach.
She is also a member of the prestigious Alpha Delta Kappa eta chapter, an international organization for honorary educators. Her scholarly work includes the publication of her dissertation via PROQUEST that has been cited numerous times in other publications as it relates to improving strategies for closing achievement gaps through intervention services.
Her accreditations are extensive, including certifications as a Strengthsfinder Coach, Maryland State Superintendent Endorsement, and various Maryland State Administration and Teaching Certificates. These credentials underscore her commitment to excellence and professional development in education.
Dr. Haughton-Williams is an accomplished educational leader with a deep passion for guiding and nurturing young minds both academically and spiritually. With over three decades of experience in education, she has held numerous leadership roles in public schools, and her expertise in data-driven instruction, mentorship, and educational strategy has profoundly impacted school communities.
Her calling to serve as a Children’s Church Ministry Director stems from her lifelong dedication to fostering growth in young people. She is driven by a desire to help children understand God’s love, develop strong moral foundations, and grow in their faith, believing that building spiritual connections in their formative years will empower them throughout life. Dr. Haughton-Williams’ vision is to create an engaging, supportive environment where children can thrive, both spiritually and academically.
