Pay Rate: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The Opportunity
As our Church Systems & Communications Officer, you’ll be the central hub for our digital operations and communication flow. You will ensure the technological backbone of our church runs smoothly while helping shape the voice and messaging that keeps our community informed, engaged, and connected. What You’ll Do

- Master Our Church Management System: Serve as our expert for Realm, ensuring all congregational data is accurate, secure, and effectively utilized to support our members and staff.

- Orchestrate Church Communications: Coordinate, create, and distribute all church-wide communications, including weekly announcements, newsletters, and event promotions, ensuring a consistent and welcoming voice.

- Lead and Collaborate: Guide our communications team volunteers and work closely with our social media consultant to develop engaging content that broadens our reach and deepens our connection with the community.

- Innovate Our Workflow: Proactively assess our weekly tasks and identify opportunities to integrate AI tools and other technologies to improve efficiency and streamline our processes.
What You’ll Bring

- Demonstrated experience with church management software (Realm is a huge plus!).

- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and other modern communication tools.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

- A proactive and collaborative spirit, with the ability to manage projects independently and as part of a team.

- An interest or experience in social media management and digital content creation.
- A genuine desire to support the mission and community of Metropolitan Baptist Church.

Position Details
This is an on-site, part-time position requiring approximately 15 hours per week. We offer a flexible work schedule that can be mutually agreed upon to fit your needs.
