Pastors 7th Anniversary
On April 3rd, we’ll start the month celebrating our Pastor’s 7th Anniversary with guest
preacher, Dr. Ralph Douglas West! Tune in for any of our livestream broadcasts that day!
Then, everyone is invited to participate in a grand Drive-thru at 1 PM! Bring your balloons,
gifts, notes of love and more to show Pastor and First Lady Janice just how much we CARE
about their steadfast and immovable leadership here at Metropolitan!
Palm Sunday
On April 10th, Palm Sunday, ALL MEMBERS are invited to worship IN-PERSON at
Metropolitan, so arrive by 9:15 AM ET to be seated for our LIVE! 10 AM Service! Not ready

Maundy Thursday
On Maundy Thursday, April 14, we’re heading downtown to the historic Shiloh Baptist
Church in DC for in-person Worship and Communion! Meet Pastor Watson and our Praise
Team for this timeless tradition at 7 PM ET. You may stream this service online at
shilohbaptist.org or on Shiloh’s Facebook and YouTube pages. If you plan to attend, you must
wear your mask, then enter through the Family Life Center’s 9th Street or alley entrance. You
will have to show proof of COVID-19 Vaccination, have your temperature checked, and fill out
a contact tracing form before granted access to the Sanctuary where an usher will determine
your seating.
Good Friday Service
Our Good Friday Service will be led by 7 of the most anointed female preachers in the DMV!
Rev. Patricia Fears, Rev. Dr. Cynthia Turner Wood, Rev. Dr. Leslie Copeland Tune, Rev.
Dr. Kecia DeCosta Ford, Rev. Dr. Denise Wilson, Rev. Barbara Florvil Lavarin and Rev. Dr.
Lisa Weah will mount Metropolitan’s virtual pulpit on April 15! We will broadcast this service
online ONLY at 7 PM ET.
- Then, on the 3rd Day, I mean, on the 3rd Sunday, we’ll celebrate the Risen Savior with another
LIVE!, In-Person, Resurrection Sunday Worship Service at 10 AM ET. Arrive at Metropolitan by
9:15 AM!

Now, if you are planning to attend any of Metropolitan’s in-person services, please be patient with
our staff and volunteers. Be prepared to follow the instructions of our Temple Sentinels upon arrival
to our parking lot as usual. Masks must be worn at all times when in the building, temperature checks
will be done upon entry, and attendees over the age of 5 will have to show a COVID-19 Vaccination
record. If you are not vaccinated, please bring a negative COVID test dated within 72 hours prior to
your arrival to MBC. Ushers will determine your distanced seating arrangement, so please be kind
and sit where you are asked to sit. Offering will remain contactless, so please continue to give
through any of our 5 giving options.

Metropolitan has teamed up with the Progressive National Baptist Convention and the American
Association for Retired People (AARP) for a vaccine forum entitled “Voices for Vaccine Education”.Tune in on Tuesday, March 29 at 7 PM to Metropolitan and PNBC’s YouTube pages for this
installment featuring Grandmothers as Trusted Voices.
Emerge: Pray & Pump
On Saturday, April 16th, our church will be taking over the Sunoco gas station in Largo Town
Center as we execute our Pump and Pray Easter Campaign. Not only will we pay for and pump gas
for the community, but we will also take a moment to PRAY for and with all of those we encounter
on that day. This year, we want to bless over 300 families during this crazy time of inflated gas
prices! Sow a seed today into our Easter Pump and Pray Campaign in the amounts of $25, $50, or

Children & Youth Church
Metropolitan Children, Youth, and Parents, Easter is approaching and our ministry would like
to celebrate by hosting our very own in-person Easter Egg Hunt. The event will take place on
Palm Sunday, April 10th at 11:30am right outside on our church’s property. Children and
Youth in grades PreK3 through 12th can attend and will enjoy games, food, and prizes. Family,
our kids have not been able to connect with each other in over 2 years and this is the

Metropolitan Youth, we’re back! Join the Elevate Youth Ministry on April 30th at 2 PM, for a
day of fun at Crofton Go-Kart. All youth in Middle and High School are welcome to attend and
invite friends. Admission is $25 per rider, which will allow each registrant to ride 8 laps around

Metropolitan Children and Parents, we’re having a Skate Party! Join the Kingdom Kids of
Metropolitan for a day of skating at on April 30th at 3PM at Skate Zone in Crofton, MD. Children from grades Pre-K3 through the 5th grade can attend and they are encouraged to invite their friends.Admission and skate rental costs $15, and for those who have their own skates, admission is just $10.
Parents, don’t worry about lunch, because pizza and drinks will be on us for all who attend!
