Reverend Tiffany Smith Deans

Human Resources Director

Reverend Tiffany Smith Deans was born in Washington, DC and spent her formative years in Northern Virginia. At the tender age of 8, she accepted Jesus Christ into her heart and life at the Mount Zion Baptist Church, under the leadership of her pastor and father, Dr. Leonard N. Smith.

Reverend Deans received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Resources Management and holds two professional certifications in the human resources field. She is the founder and CEO of a boutique consulting firm that provides an array of human resources services to organizations. In 2011, she obediently accepted her call to the ministry and on October 9, 2016, she delivered her initial sermon in front of God, her church, and her loved ones. In October 2017, she was licensed to preach the gospel. She has served in countless ministries at Mount Zion Baptist Church over the last 27 years, but more recently, she has served as the Assistant Director of Vacation Bible School, Director of Drama Ministry and the Director of the Young Adult Ministry.

Outside of church, she served as the Vice-Chair of the Personnel Committee for the Progressive National Baptist Convention for 3 years. She currently serves as a state council member for Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Reverend Deans attends Virginia University of Lynchburg where she is working on her Master of Divinity. She is proudly and happily married to Minister Merrick Deans. Outside of God and her marriage, her greatest achievement is the life and love of her 1 year old daughter, Ava Carter.

The scripture that ignites and invigorates her spirit is Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”.
