The Reverend Jason D. Ray serves as the Special Assistant to the Senior Servant. Born and raised in the outskirts of Memphis, TN, Rev. Ray was licensed and ordained in 2003 at the Hammond Grove Baptist Church in Arlington, TN under the leadership of Dr. James A. Adams. Rev. Ray served in many capacities including leading the Youth Ministries. He represented the church in the local, state, regional, and National Baptist Convention even holding leadership roles in the Southern Regional Youth Conference of the NBC USA, INC.

Rev. Ray is a graduate of The University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Master’s of Public Administration. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.

Rev. Ray moved to the DMV area in 2018 to lead facilities management for KIPP DC Public Schools. Currently, he leads Facilities Management at Amtrak for Washington Union Station.

Prior moving to the DMV, Rev Ray spent 12 years on staff at Saint Mark Baptist Church of Little Rock, Arkansas. As the Pastor of Operations and Facilities, Rev Ray led general operations/budgeting, repairs and maintenance, strategic planning, capital projects, fleet management, general services, large-scale construction initiatives, logistics, major renovations and special projects, event planning, and government relations. Highlights of his time at Saint Mark include leading the development and construction of a 50,000 sq ft Children and Youth Center; developing partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies for community programming; and planning and leading the largest job fair in the Little Rock metropolitan area.

His passion for ministry and gifting of Administration partnering with his love for facilities and architecture led Rev. Ray to start The Bezalel Group LLC in 2014. A consultancy that assists churches in facilities planning, design, and construction management.

Rev. Ray is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, INC and he now resides in Fairmont Heights, MD.
