Adoption & Foster Care Awareness Ministry

The Adoption and Foster Care Awareness Ministry has always and continues to be a ministry whose mission is to keep the awareness of adoption and foster care alive in the Metropolitan Baptist Church (MBC) family and throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area especially during the months of November (National Adoption Month) and May (National Foster Care Month). We are able to do this by bringing agencies and organizations into MBC to answer the congregation’s questions about how anyone can get involved with adoption and foster care and to help eliminate any myths or misconceptions as well as partnering with DC area-wide churches and organizations to find families interested in adoption, foster care or outreach organizations that assist in this cause.

Our meetings are held every second Thursday of the month.
