Critical Conversations Facing the Black Church
February 25 @ 6:00 PM

This week’s Critical Conversation will consider the role of the Black Church as a refuge for emotional and mental wellness. Under the guidance of Dr. Sherrill McMillan Duckett, Metropolitan’s Minister of Counseling and Family Services, topics will include destigmatizing mental health struggles, integrating faith-based approaches to therapy, and equipping churches to offer resources for those in need. Join us at Metropolitan, on Tuesday, February 25, at 6 PM for refreshments and at 7 PM to talk about ways to bridge the gap between spiritual care and professional mental health support in the Black Church.
